Speakers
The theme of this year’s convention is “Moooving Forward” and the committee has planned an
interesting business meeting. Rod Crossley will speak on the current organic trends and
what it takes to become certified; Neville McNaughton is going to speak about the
appellation of control and the ongoing battle of the country of origin with names,
for example Greece and the name Feta; David Leonardi from Wisconsin Milk Marketing
Board will present Fresh Point and the current scan data info, and Jim Taylor of
Cacique is going to present the Cheese Report. Bill Goodrich, of United Agribusiness
League, will be on hand to discuss the many benefits of CCBA’s affiliation with UAL.
Golf Tournament
Along with an educational and informative business meeting, there will be an afternoon
golf tournament for novices and experienced golfers at the 27-hole Ted Robinson-designed
golf course at the Marriott. The tournament will take place Friday April 23 in the
afternoon. Cost to golf is $95.00 per player. Get your clubs ready and come out for a great time.

Friday April 23 “Pirate’s Booty”
Wear your favorite pirate costume for the “Pirate’s Booty” and look forward to an
exciting evening. Enjoy dinner, dancing, and an evening of fun!
Saturday April 24 Dinner/Dance
Start the evening at the President’s cocktail party and preview a wide variety of
unique items for the silent auction. Then enjoy fine cuisine and the music of
"Wayne Foster Entertainment". The band will entertain the group during dinner,
and will play dynamic, dance music from all eras until 11:00 p.m. Their extensive
musical repertoire and extraordinary level of talent easily invoke energy that
appeals to all ages. Their signature continuous musical entertainment format
and knowing when to play each style of music are seemingly small factors, but
they make the difference between playing just music and creating a sensational
evening.
Don’t miss out. Sign up for the convention today. Remember to book your room
reservations directly with the Marriott by March 20, 2004 to ensure availability.
We look forward to your participation in the 2004 convention. Please contact
us with any questions at (925) 672-8255.
